Duties And Responsibilities
  • Maintain the highest level of customer service while performing patient check-ins, status updates, answering phones, etc.
  • Interview patients or representatives to obtain and record personal and insurance information.
  • Verify, update, and scan new and returning patient information.
  • Oversee tracking in the Electronic Medical Record, collect co-pays, and ensure form completion.
  • Complete patient check-out, including settling balances and scheduling follow-ups.
  • Enter patient admitting information into the computer, and collect payments.
  • Maintain a positive demeanor with patients, peers, supervisors, and physicians, especially when receiving feedback or direction.
  • Stay compliant with all state and federal laws, including HIPAA, OSHA, and FLSA.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
Education, Experience, Licenses, And Certifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years of customer service experience required.
  • 1 year of experience in a medical setting preferred.
