Spire Orthopedic Partners in Great Neck, NY is seeking a Front Desk Specialist to support patient flow and administrative tasks at the clinic. You will manage check-ins/outs, verify insurance, collect co-pays, and educate patients on benefits while coordinating with Medical Records andCare teams.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, workers compensation, no fault and HIPAA regulations preferred.
• Experience in a clinical setting preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
• Proficiency with EHR systems; ModMed a plus; general Microsoft Suite (Teams, Outlook)
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to patients and direct them to appropriate departments.
• Manage patient check-ins and check-outs with accurate data entry.
• Collect and verify insurance details, confirm eligibility and process co-pays.
• Educate patients on insurance benefits and in-/out-of-network coverage.
• Ensure necessary forms are completed and on file (insurance, referrals, authorizations).
• Schedule follow-up appointments and document cancellations or rescheduling.
• Submit daily payment collection reports.
• Manage record requests in coordination with Medical Records.
• Open and close the office and maintain a professional environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
