Job summary

Select Medical is seeking a Patient Service Specialist at our outpatient physical therapy center in Houtzdale, PA. You will welcome patients, register them, and coordinate appointments while supporting front-desk operations and patient flow.

The role involves collecting co-pays, verifying insurance, and communicating with insurers and care teams to ensure smooth visits. Entry-level to healthcare-experience candidates encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience verifying insurance benefits and authorizations.
• Front desk experience preferred.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and their next appointment.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Maintain communication with attorneys' offices, insurance companies, translation services, market leaders, and business development teams.
• Collect co-pays, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
