Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking a Front Office Specialist to be the first contact, setting the tone for a world class Total Patient Experience. This role handles administrative duties to ensure a smooth check-in/out for patients.

The position requires handling phone interactions, patient greetings, and efficient workflow management in a clinical setting with HIPAA compliance and strong customer service focus.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; optometry/ophthalmology preferred.
• Minimum 1 year in a role interacting with customers/patients.
• Background check favorable as required by state.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great service and support.
• Provide exceptional customer service during every patient encounter (in person or via phone).
• Greet patients promptly with a smile and thank them when they leave.
• Answer phones (external and internal); ensure prompt, courteous service at all times.
• Practice urgency with consideration to patient’s time and doctor’s schedule.
• Double check insurance authorizations to ensure completion and accurate flow sheets.
• Check out patients and collect correct payments according to procedures.
• Manage patient flow in the office and communicate to maximize efficiency and service.
• Complete daily reconciliations / close day / countdown cash drawer.
• Comply with all company policies and HIPAA requirements.
• Perform general office duties and cleaning as assigned.
