Job summary

Select Medical in Seven Fields is seeking a Patient Service Specialist to manage front desk duties and patient flow at our outpatient center. This per diem role supports both patient service and center operations, with compensation based on experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, scheduling visits, coordinating with insurers, collecting co-pays, and assisting with authorizations. Hours are not guaranteed and experience is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Healthcare experience required.
• 1 year of outpatient (OP) experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients and provide information about what to expect during their visit and information about their next appointment as they check out.
• Schedule patient appointments in person and via phone.
• Regular communication with parties such as attorney offices, insurance companies and translation companies, market operational leaders, and business development team.
• Collect co-pays from patients, manage payer approvals, and conduct insurance authorizations and verifications.
