Job summary

Eyemart Express is hiring a Part Time Front Desk Optometrist’s Technician in Auburn, AL. This role supports the store Doctor, assists customers with exams and contact lenses, and helps maintain store standards. Training is provided for optical tasks.

The position emphasizes customer service, sales knowledge, and accurate data entry while ensuring HIPAA compliance and smooth daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience in retail, customer service, or sales.
• Optical industry experience is preferred but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all patients.
• Maintain knowledge of current sales and promotions and policies.
• Process payments/refunds using the in-house POS system.
• Perform other administrative tasks as assigned.
• Process insurance claims efficiently.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products.
• Create and maintain patient files in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Input customer information into the computer system.
• Assist with pre-test procedures as directed by the Doctor.
• Order and receive contact lenses and call customers for pickup/status.
• Deliver contact lenses to patients and assist with inventory control.
