Job summary

Northern Nevada Medical Group, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Medical Office Specialist to join our Reno clinics on a full-time day shift. You will be the front desk touchpoint, coordinating patient flow, checking in patients, collecting information, and relaying instructions to staff.

You will also handle clerical tasks like charting, scheduling, verifying insurance, and communicating with patients and providers to ensure seamless care delivery.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant Certificate of Completion or 1 year experience in a medical office preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills patient check-in and check-out per clinic protocol and assists with patient flow.
• Assists patients as needed with walking, transfers and preparing for exam.
• Collects patient history and relays information to providers and staff.
