Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Medical Assistant diploma or certificate is required.
• Bilingual English and Spanish is required.
• Previous experience in a medical office is required.
• Experience in specialty, vascular, or surgical practices is preferred.
• Experience with EMR and scheduling systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients, visitors, and vendors in a professional, courteous manner.
• Register, check-in/out patients, and verify demographic information.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests and referrals.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits; assist with prior authorizations.
• Maintain patient records and ensure HIPAA confidentiality.
• Support front-office operations and clinical staff as needed.
