Maadaadizi Investments is currently searching for a remarkable Front Desk Manager for the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul Downtown in St. Paul, Minnesota.

GENERAL PURPOSE
The Front Desk Manager is responsible for the management of Front Office operations to achieve customer satisfaction, quality service and compliance with corporate/franchise policies and procedures while meeting/exceeding financial goals. This position will also cross train with our sister hotel The InterContinental St. Paul Riverfront. However, the main duties will occur at the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Paul - Downtown.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of front office operations for assigned shift. Schedule employees to ensure proper coverage.
- Monitor performance and recommend/initiate corrective and/or disciplinary action, or other staffing/human resources-related actions in accordance with company policies and procedures. Alert management of potentially serious issues.
- Ensure all staff is properly trained and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job functions.
- Ensure guests receive prompt, professional attention and are greeted upon arrival. Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Implement appropriate service recovery gestures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction.
- Communicate and assist in achieving departmental guest satisfaction, revenue and profit goals and objectives. Manage labor costs and expenses within budget.
- Assist in managing hotel revenue generation & maximization through full utilization of company systems, business processes and specifications.
- Ensure procedures are followed for security of monies, credit and financial transactions, and guest security.
- Will serve as “manager on duty” as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES: Manage all employees who are scheduled to work at the front desk and the onsite security team.
Job Qualifications
- A college degree is preferred. Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality management is desirable. A combination of practical experience and education will be considered as an alternative.
- Previous experience in a front desk leadership role is required.
- Hilton experience is preferred but not required.
- Must be able to work all shifts including overnights.
- Must possess a positive service orientation — actively looking for ways to help people.
- Ability to demonstrate active listening, giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology.
- Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Must be able to complete all duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Physical Environment
- Incumbent may stand or sit for long periods of time at desk.
- Incumbent may use calculators, keyboards, telephone and other office equipment in the course of normal workday.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Stooping, bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required in completion of job duties.
