Job summary

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Recreation, Sports Management, Kinesiology, Public Administration, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in recreation, hospitality, or similar.
• CPR/AED certification and First Aid certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• Valid Class C Texas driver’s license.
• Experience in municipal recreation or high-volume customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise part-time and seasonal staff, set schedules, coach, and set performance expectations.
• Oversee front desk operations, member check-ins, registrations, and facility access.
• Ensure safety policies, procedures, and systems are followed for participant safety.
• Assist with membership onboarding, renewals, and maintaining customer records.
• Ensure front desk readiness, staffing coverage, supplies, and organized workspaces.
• Train and guide part-time and seasonal customer service staff, reinforcing standards.
• Monitor customer interactions and maintain a welcoming, professional environment.
• Escalate and resolve customer concerns to maintain satisfaction.
• Process transactions accurately including POS, cash handling, and deposits.
• Comply with facility policies and safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory tracking, supplies, and merchandise support.
• Collaborate with Membership, Fitness, Aquatics, Programs, and Facilities teams.
