Job summary

Hotel Ivy Boston Common is seeking a friendly Guest Service Agent for a part-time role in Boston, MA. You will handle guest registration, reservations, and provide local information to ensure a positive guest experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming guests, processing check-ins/outs, handling payments, and resolving issues in a fast-paced hotel environment. Prior customer service experience is preferred; flexibility for weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• 1 or more full years employment experience in a related position.
• Must be able to work onsite at the hotel location.
• Hours required: Part Time 16-24 hours per week for Morning (AM);Afternoon (PM);Evening;Must be flexible;Weekends/ Holidays.
• Proficiency in the English language.
• Willingness to learn new technology platforms.
• Ability to stand at front desk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs. guest luggage; limited.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times.

Responsibilities

• As a Guest Service Agent, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional service and ensuring a memorable stay.
• Manage online, phone and in-person room reservations in sometimes fast-paced environment.
• Welcome guests, check them in/out, distribute room keys and explain the hotel’s amenities.
• Take payment and resolve any payment discrepancies.
• Respond to guest issues and complaints in a friendly, timely manner.
• Explain local amenities and attractions to guests.
• Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet hotel standards and accommodate any special guest requests.
• Keep workstations and equipment clean, organized, and in good working order.
• Perform duties as outlined in the training procedures, following standard operating procedures.
• Assist with other departments when necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.
