Job summary

Salt Creek Golf Club is hiring a Front Desk Attendant to warmly greet visitors, answer calls, process registrations and payments, and handle various office tasks at the Wood Dale Recreation Center and other district facilities.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work flexible mornings, with potential evenings or weekends. Part-time benefits include PTO after one year and employee recreation discounts.

In addition, various office duties, such as copying, filling, typing, data entry and organizing will be performed.**Work Location:**Wood Dale Recreation Center, 111 E. Foster Ave., Wood Dale, IL 60191 and various parks and facilities throughout the District**Hours**General hours of work are weekday mornings. Might occasionally be asked to cover an evening or weekend shift. **Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on the operational needs of the Park District.** The front desk is open the following hours:**Monday – Thursday – (first shift) 8:25am – 3:00pm (second shift) 3:00pm – 9:00pm****Friday– (first shift) 8:25am – 3:00pm (second shift) 3:00pm – 8:00pm****Saturday – 8:00am – 2:00pm****Sunday – 8:00am – 12:00pm****We are currently specifically hiring for first shift****Monday, Wednesday & Friday - 8:25am - 3:00pm****Benefits:****Part Time -NON- IMRF*** Part Time PTO – After one year of employment. Bi-lingual a plus but not required.**Knowledge of:*** Recreation software, ActiveNet knowledge preferred but not required* Microsoft Office and the ability to learn special recreation software**Ability to:*** Work in a year-round position with a variety of weekday, weeknight and weekend shifts* Ability to handle a variety of tasks/situations at one time.* Ability to be patient and courteous.* Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.* Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.* Ability to accurately handle monetary transactions**Skills in:*** Excellent customer service skills* Microsoft Excel and Word* Capacity to learn ActiveNet recreation registration software* Ability to speak and write effectively & clearly* Capacity to demonstrate strong leadership skills**Required Certifications:*** First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire; First Aid/CPR/AED certification preferred.**Work Environment and Physical Demands:**Primarily indoor environment with fluorescent lighting, heating and air conditioning. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
