Job summary

Wood-Dale-Park-District's Wood Dale Recreation Center is hiring a Front Desk Attendant to greet visitors, answer phones, process registrations and payments, and provide information. The role involves light data entry, filing, and general office tasks, with shifts mainly mornings on weekdays and occasional evenings or weekends.

Qualified applicants should be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and strong English communication. Bi-lingual helpful.

Qualifications

  • Ability to process registrations and payments accurately.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and data entry.
  • Bi-lingual a plus but not required.
  • First Aid/CPR/AED certification within 30 days of hire; certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Answer the telephone, transfer calls, and take accurate messages for staff.
  • Process registrations, refunds, transfers, and membership sales.
  • Maintain a good rapport with customers and provide exceptional service.
  • Open and/or close the facility when needed.
  • Attend staff training sessions and communicate with staff.

Job description

Position Summary:The Front Desk Attendant is responsible for greeting and welcoming customers, answering the phone, processing registrations and payments, and answering diverse informational questions. In addition, various office duties, such as copying, filling, typing, data entry and organizing will be performed.Work Location:Wood Dale Recreation Center, 111 E. Foster Ave., Wood Dale, IL 60191 and various parks and facilities throughout the DistrictHoursGeneral hours of work are weekday mornings. Might occasionally be asked to cover an evening or weekend shift. Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule based on the operational needs of the Park District. The front desk is open the following hours:Monday – Friday – (first shift) 8:25am – 3:00pm (second shift) 3:00pm – 9:00pmSaturday – 8:00am – 3:00pmSunday – 8:00am – 12:00pmWe are currently specifically hiring for first shiftMonday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday - 8:25am - 3:00pmApproximately an average of 13 - 19 hours per weekBenefits:Part Time -NON- IMRFPart Time PTO – After one year of employment.
