Sonesta International Hotels Corporation is seeking a Guest Services Agent to manage front desk operations and guest relations across shifts. You will register guests, handle reservations, process payments, and upsell rooms while upholding Sonesta Service standards.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 1 year hotel or retail experience, fluent English, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Opera systems. Certifications such as ServSafe and TIPS may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of previous hotel experience, or retail customer service preferred.
• Previous background from the extended stay industry preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English; other languages beneficial.
• Professional verbal and written communication skills.
• Math skills including budgeting, percentages, and variances preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems preferred.
• ServSafe certification may be required.
• TIPS certification may be required.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Register guests, issue room keys, and provide information on hotel services and room location.
• Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner.
• Process cash and credit card transactions per procedures.
• Maintain security of cash, credit card transactions, and guest information.
• May book guest reservations and handle cancellations or updates.
• Upsell rooms to maximize revenue.
• Follow seasonal reservation strategies communicated by management.
• Coordinate with shifts and departments to promote teamwork.
• Service the shoppe and the pour, delivering offered services and products.
• Follow laws regarding alcoholic beverage sales.
• Fulfill guest special requests and ensure delivery of services.
• Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes.
• Comply with health, safety, and alcohol service regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
