Job summary

The Mint Gaming Hall Kentucky Downs is seeking a Front Desk Agent to deliver guest-focused service. You will register and assign rooms, handle reservations, and manage guest accounts while using Bonvoy rewards programs.

The role requires problem solving, professionalism, and the ability to stay calm with demanding guests. The position involves interactions with guests, collaborating with housekeeping and maintenance, and using computer systems to track bookings and payments.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must pass required background checks.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Must obtain required work cards and non-gaming registration as required by the local jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Greet, register, and assign rooms to guests of hotels or motels.
• Coordinate with housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems.
• Issue room keys and escort instructions to bellhops.
• Make and confirm reservations.
• Verify customers' credit and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation.
• Stock, clean, and provide service to the market area.
• Stock, track, and order supplies as needed.
• Use computers and computer systems to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information.
• Observe, receive, and obtain information from relevant sources.
• Perform for or work directly with the public.
• Analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, written form, e-mail, or in person.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow safety regulations.
• Report maintenance or safety concerns to supervisor promptly.
• Maintain regular attendance and a professional demeanor during shifts.
