Job summary

Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center is hiring a Front Office Agent to deliver warm, professional check-in and check-out experiences for our guests in the Arlington Entertainment District. You’ll greet guests, confirm reservations, and coordinate room assignments with a focus on service excellence.

You’ll use Opera PMS, handle payments, promote hotel services, answer inquiries, and assist with events and group bookings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year guest service experience in hotel hospitality.
• Experience with Property Management System preferred (Opera).
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time; flexible with weekends/evenings/holidays.
• Excellent communication and guest-service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register guests with warmth and professionalism, ensuring a seamless arrival experience.
• Assign rooms that meet guest preferences and special requests.
• Obtain and verify credit and payment information in accordance with hotel policies.
• Promote hotel services, amenities, and local attractions to enhance the guest experience.
• Respond to guest inquiries and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
• Maintain knowledge of upcoming events, group bookings, and banquet orders.
• Perform check-out procedures and handle cash transactions accurately.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the Front Desk and lobby area.
• Handle emergencies with professionalism, prioritizing guest and team member safety.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
