Job summary

Vaco in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Front Desk Receptionist / Customer Experience Support for an on-site laboratory facility. You will be the first contact for callers and visitors, handle deliveries, and support the Customer Experience team.

You’ll balance face-to-face interactions with phone and email support, maintain records, and assist other departments as needed. For the right person, this role offers reliable hours and a collaborative office environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years reception, administrative support or customer service experience.
• Experience assisting customers by phone and communicating professionally by email.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook and Word, ability to learn databases and tracking systems.
• Excellent telephone etiquette, clear communication and a professional, welcoming manner.
• Strong organization, attention to detail and accurate data entry.
• Availability to work on site in Jacksonville during assigned hours.

Responsibilities

• Answer and route incoming calls using a multi-line phone system and take accurate messages.
• Welcome visitors, clients and vendors and follow check-in procedures.
• Receive and route mail, courier deliveries and material samples to internal teams.
• Maintain accurate records of incoming items, inquiries and follow-up activities.
• Cross-train to provide Customer Experience coverage during breaks and busy periods.
• Assist customers by phone and email with routine questions about submissions and status updates.
• Look up information in internal systems and coordinate with departments to obtain answers.
• Escalate complex or technical questions to the appropriate specialist.
• Keep the reception area organized and assist with data entry and general office support.
