CANA Retail in Fairhaven, MA is seeking a warm, sharp Receptionist to be the first face guests see. You will greet visitors, verify IDs, manage check-in and the waitlist, and set a welcoming tone before guests reach the sales floor.

This fast-paced, compliance-driven role blends hospitality with gatekeeping. You will answer phones, support the team, and help maintain a clean, organized reception while ensuring all safety and regulatory requirements are followed.

Qualifications

• Customer service, front-desk, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Strong verbal communication skills — friendly, clear, and confident.
• Detail-oriented and dependable; you don't cut corners.
• Comfortable with basic technology and check-in systems.
• Calm under pressure with a team-first mindset.
• Cannabis experience is a plus, but not required — we'll teach you what you need to know.

Responsibilities

• Greet every guest warmly and professionally the moment they walk in.
• Verify every guest's ID and confirm eligibility for every person who enters — zero exceptions.
• Own access control: ensure only authorized, verified guests move past reception.
• Manage check-in and the waitlist, communicate wait times accurately, and keep guests moving smoothly to the floor.
• Answer phones and handle general questions with professionalism and care.
• Invite every guest to join our free VIP rewards program at check-in — this is our #1 company priority.
• Keep the reception and waiting area clean, organized, and compliant at all times.
• Support the team and step in wherever needed.
