James Immigration Law is a boutique law firm located in Tampa, FL, with a dedicated focus on immigration law. At James Immigration Law, we specialize solely in immigration law, ensuring our clients receive focused and experienced legal representation in matters such as removal defense, bonds and detention, family-based immigration, and the U.S. Citizenship process.

James Immigration Law is seeking to hire a Front Desk Clerk. The ideal candidate for this position will be passionate about helping clients and ensuring they have the best experience with James Immigration Law. The candidate will need to communicate with potential and established clients. We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Front Desk Clerk to join our team. As the first point of contact for our clients, you play a crucial role in ensuring they feel welcomed, valued, and supported throughout their journey with us. Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to complete each responsibility satisfactorily. Other duties may be added at any time.

· Warmly greet clients and visitors, providing a supportive and welcoming environment.

· Efficiently manage incoming calls and correspondence, ensuring clients and potential clients are directed to the appropriate team member.

· Schedule appointments, manage calendars for attorneys and staff, and provide reminders for upcoming engagements.

· Assist with the preparation of immigration-related documents and materials, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

· Maintain office inventory and the organization of the reception area to uphold a professional and tidy environment.

· Process payments and handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

· Participate in ongoing training and professional development activities to stay informed on the latest in immigration law and office technologies.

Requirements

· Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.

· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on compassionate client service.

· Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

· A commitment to learning and adapting to changes in immigration law and office technology.

· Previous experience in a receptionist or administrative role is preferred, with a keen interest in immigration law.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and a willingness to learn new software and technologies.

Work Environment:

This is an on-site position located in our Tampa, Florida office. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. Technology is used extensively in our practice. Training is provided, but you will be required to adapt to the new and changing technology.

Pay and Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position will be defined based on experience, ranging from 18 -20 usd per hour. This position offers direct employment with the firm, including a comprehensive benefits package.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
