Job description

The EOIR Paralegal will assist attorneys with all aspects of immigration court proceedings, including preparing case filings, communicating with clients, and managing case deadlines. This is a full-time, remote position, but preference will be given to candidates located in Florida who can provide local support when needed.

Compensation:

$50,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

1. Hold client interviews to gather information about their legal problems
2. Aid lawyers in trial preparation by preparing and organizing exhibits, organizing and coordinating witnesses, conducting research on legal articles, and assisting with client meetings and filing motions
3. Prepare and file EOIR motions, briefs, applications, and appeals

Qualifications:

1. Talented communicator and writer
2. Must have great time-management skills and organizational skills
3. 3+ years of legal service experience under an attorney or lawyer in a law firm setting
4. Strong knowledge of immigration forms, procedures, and court filings
