DETAILED AND PASSIONATE BILINGUAL REMOTE IMMIGRATION PARALEGAL (removal defense)

The Law Office of Rosina C. Stambaugh is seeking experienced Paralegals to join our firm. We are a highly reputable small law firm experiencing significant growth and seek someone who is highly organized and detail oriented. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a talented individual who possesses excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish, a positive attitude, and has a self-starter mindset. Our primary focus is on family immigration, removal defense, affirmative applications with USCIS and consular processing. We seek an individual who strives hard to work well in a team-based environment and is very detail oriented.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide exceptional paralegal support to attorneys and legal team in immigration law matters.
  2. Conduct client intake interviews in both English and Spanish to gather relevant information for case preparation.
  3. Assist in preparing and filing immigration forms, applications, and supporting documentation with attention to detail and adherence to established procedures.
  4. Perform research on immigration laws, regulations, and procedures to support case preparation and legal arguments.
  5. Maintain accurate and organized client files, ensuring that all relevant documents and correspondence are properly stored and easily accessible.
  6. Coordinate and schedule appointments, court appearances, and meetings with clients, attorneys, and government agencies.
  7. Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates on case progress and answering inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
  8. Assist in translation and interpretation tasks as needed during meetings, hearings, and interviews.
  9. Stay up to date with changes in immigration laws, regulations, and procedures, and communicate relevant updates to the legal team.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or Paralegal Certificate
  2. Experience with Immigration Law (removal defense)
  3. Fluency in both English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
  4. Proven experience as a paralegal, preferably in the field of immigration law.
  5. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  6. Attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation and case management.
  7. Proficiency in legal research and familiarity with legal databases and resources.
  8. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively in a team environment.
  9. Proficient in using computer applications and legal software for document management and research purposes.
  10. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivated nature.
  11. Knowledge of immigration laws, regulations, and procedures is preferred.

Benefits: Full time Salary based on experience with a bonus structure. Availability of additional hours.

Work location: Remote/Independent contractor and in-office employee positions available.
