Avamere Skilled Advisors, LLC d/b/a Avamere Living in Rio Rancho, NM is seeking an on-call Receptionist. The role serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and staff, handling phones, inquiries, and light administrative tasks to support campus operations and resident well-being.

Responsibilities include greeting visitors, directing calls, managing mail and appointments, and maintaining records with confidentiality.

Qualifications

• One or more years of clerical experience, preferably in healthcare.
• Excellent communication skills are essential for residents, families, and staff.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain detailed records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software; confidentiality is crucial.
• Compassion for and desire to work with the elderly; maintain a warm environment.

Responsibilities

• Warmly welcome visitors, residents, and staff and direct them as needed.
• Answer and direct phone calls, take messages, and ensure prompt communication.
• Provide information about the facility, resident status, services, and general inquiries.
• Manage mail, packages, appointments, and light clerical duties.
• Keep accurate records of visitors, deliveries, and appointments with confidentiality.
• Maintain a clean, organized reception area and a positive atmosphere.
• Facilitate communication between residents, families, and staff; escalate concerns.
• Assist with transportation scheduling and guest meal coordination as needed.
• Ensure information is up-to-date and readily available.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
