Job description

This position is assigned to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Lodging Program at Cheatham Annex, Fleet Readiness (N92), Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC). The incumbent performs front desk and reservation functions for the MWR Recreational lodging program, which may include Recreational Vehicle Parks, Vacation Rentals (cottages, cabins, single houses, townhomes, duplexes, mobile homes, hotels, apartments, and yurts), and campgrounds.

Duties

Responsibilities include managing reservations, assisting guests, and ensuring smooth operations of the recreational lodging facilities.

Requirements

  • Must pass all applicable records and background checks.
  • Must successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Any discrepancies must be resolved as a condition of employment.
  • This position may be designated ALPHA personnel for inclement weather or national security reasons and may require reporting to work when other employees are excused.
  • The position may involve working on weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts outside normal duty hours.
  • The incumbent may be recalled to duty and/or required to work overtime to meet mission requirements.
  • May need a valid state driver’s license; travel to other lodging facilities may be required.
  • Starting May 7, 2025, access requires a REAL ID-compliant driver's license or other acceptable ID.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate experience and knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSAs) related to this role, including:

  • Knowledge of daily front desk operations in hospitality settings.
  • Understanding of hospitality principles, standards, and regulations.
  • Experience with automated property management systems.
  • Customer service and complaint resolution skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Effective communication skills in English, both oral and written.
