Planet Fitness, a private equity-backed fitness retailer, is seeking candidates for the role of Front Desk Associates. The Front Desk Associate is a friendly and courteous individual who consistently delivers excellent service, fosters customer satisfaction and loyalty, and promotes Ignite Fitness Holdings-Planet Fitness Mission, Vision, and Values. The role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks with a friendly demeanor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Welcome and farewell members in a confident, professional, and friendly manner.
  • Anticipate members' needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all members.
  • Provide courteous and efficient telephone service, answering calls promptly and knowledgeably.
  • Use strong communication and problem-solving skills to resolve customer concerns effectively.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the club for up to 50% of the shift.
  • Deliver prompt, accurate customer service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accept payments from customers, give change and receipts.
  • Promote products and special promotions to drive revenue.
  • Answer customer questions regarding business procedures and policies in a friendly manner.
Minimum Skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong work ethic with decision-making and problem resolution skills.
  • Self-starter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible to work a rotating schedule.
  • Excellent customer service skills, preferably in the fitness industry.
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, and hardworking.
  • Physical ability to talk, hear, stand, walk, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and 75 pounds occasionally.
Minimum Qualifications
  • 18 years or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months of face-to-face customer service experience in retail or one year in fitness preferred.
Hours
  • Initial training hours may vary.
  • Availability for weekdays and/or weekends based on club needs.
  • Open or flexible availability is a plus.
