Front Desk Associate# Front Desk AssociateLegal Address - Honolulu, HI 96821## OverviewSalary Range$24.50 - $24.50 HourlyCategoryFront Desk## Description**Kahala Nui,**considered Hawaii's premier Senior Living Community, is looking for **a Front Desk Associate**to join our team! **Available shifts**: Full Time (4 shifts a week) NIGHT shift (11:45PM - 8:15AM). *Weekend availability is required*.Front Desk Associates serves as the first point of contact for guests, residents, and staff. They are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing the Front Desk operations, answering phone, directing inquires while coordinating the Emergency Response System as needed and performing light clerical duties to support daily operations. Front Desk Associates helps create a welcoming, professional, and resident-centered environment while ensuring the safety and security of the community.**Key Responsibilities:*** Greet and assist residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.* Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls and take messages as needed.* Manage visitor sign-in procedures and monitor building access in accordance with community policies.* Provide information regarding community services, events, and resident activities.* Receive, sort, and distribute mail, packages, and deliveries.* Maintain accurate records, directories, and Front Desk logs.* Assist with room bookings and transportation reservations.* Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established safety procedures## Qualifications**REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** High School Diploma or equivalency.* Superior customer service skills. Friendly, compassionate, and service-oriented demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent customer service to seniors and their families.* Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.* Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.* Ability to respond quickly and appropriately to emergencies and safety situations.* Capability to move throughout the community to assist residents, visitors, and staff as needed.* Ability to occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and lift or carry items weighing up to 25 pounds.* Type a minimum of 40 wpm.* Proficient in the use of computer programs, specifically MS Word, Excel and Outlook.* Proof of annual tuberculosis clearance in accordance with state regulations.* Valid CPR and First Aid certification.* Valid driver's license.* Must be available to work agreed upon varied schedules including weekends and holidays.**PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:*** 1-year previous customer service experience*Equivalent experience or education may be substituted at the hiring manager’s discretion for educational or work experience requirements.*
