With 50 rooms and a close-knit team of employees, we focus on quality, attention to detail, and creating memorable stays for every guest.The Front Desk Agent is the first point of contact for guests at Rivet House Hotel and plays a key role in delivering a warm, personalized, and seamless guest experience. This position is responsible for managing the front desk operations, assisting guests throughout their stay, and ensuring all interactions reflect the hotel’s boutique service standards.ResponsibilitiesGreet guests warmly and provide a welcoming, attentive arrival and departure experienceManage check-in and check-out processes efficiently and accuratelyAnticipate guest needs and proactively offer assistance, recommendations, and solutionsHandle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and careMaintain a thorough knowledge of the hotel, amenities, and the Athens area to provide tailored recommendationsAnswer and direct phone calls, emails, and reservations inquiriesProcess reservations, modifications, and cancellations in the property management systemHandle cash, credit card transactions, and folio accuracyMaintain organized front desk workspace and accurate recordsCoordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and guest satisfactionCommunicate effectively with Rooms Manager and other departments to ensure smooth operationsRelay important guest information, VIP arrivals, and special requestsSupport team members as needed in a collaborative, small-team environmentAddress and resolve guest concerns promptly, escalating when appropriateMaintain composure and professionalism in high-pressure or unexpected situationsPrevious hospitality, customer service, or front desk experience preferredCollege degree in a hospitality-related field is preferred but not required. Additional related certifications are preferred but not required.Strong interpersonal and communication skillsFriendly, outgoing, and service-oriented personalityHighly organized with attention to detailAbility to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environmentComfortable using computers and hotel systems (PMS experience a plus)Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysThe employee is regularly required to stand and sit for periods of time, walk the property, and climb stairs.
