Role Description

The Front Desk Agent is a full-time, on-site position located at The Hotel at Avalon in Alpharetta, GA. This role is responsible for welcoming guests, performing check-in and check-out procedures, and managing room assignments and key distribution with accuracy. Daily tasks include answering phone calls, responding to guest inquiries, processing reservations and payments, and coordinating with housekeeping and other hotel departments to ensure a smooth guest experience. The Front Desk Agent assists with guest requests, resolves concerns with a focus on service and professionalism, and maintains a neat, organized front desk area. This position requires adherence to hotel policies and brand standards while consistently delivering friendly, efficient service.

Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle guest inquiries, requests, and concerns professionally.
  • Proficiency in receptionist duties and reservations management, including check-in/check-out and room assignment processes.
  • Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills, both verbal and written, with a courteous and clear speaking style.
  • Ability to use hotel management or reservation systems, basic computer applications, and payment processing tools.
  • Previous front desk, hospitality, or related customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and ability to remain calm and professional in busy or challenging situations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional hospitality training or education is a plus.
