Responsibilities include:

1. Greeting and communicating cordially with guests, checking them in and out promptly and professionally, and assisting with pre-registration and reservation blocking as needed.
2. Posting all charges accurately, promptly, and efficiently.
3. Having complete working knowledge of the Front Office system, including all daily transactions and less frequent tasks.
4. Managing cash handling accurately, including receiving payments via cash, checks, and credit cards, and giving correct change.
5. Reviewing reservations with special requests and blocking rooms accordingly.
6. Understanding hotel rates, discounts, and handling each appropriately.
7. Knowing reservation procedures, including taking same-day reservations quickly, and following cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
