Job Responsibilities

1. Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel. Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary.
2. Promptly, accurately, and efficiently process all charges and know how and where to post them.
3. Have complete working knowledge of the Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and less frequent tasks.
4. Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks, and credit card information from guests for hotel charges and making correct change.
5. Review reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly.
6. Understand hotel rates, discounts, and how to handle each appropriately.
7. Be knowledgeable of reservation procedures, including taking same-day reservations efficiently (approximately 2 minutes), and follow cancellation and relocation procedures when necessary.
