Job summary

Hyatt Place Austin/Round Rock is seeking a Front Desk/Night Auditor to assist guests with courtesy and professionalism across all front desk functions. The role emphasizes excellent guest service and accurate daily balancing of all hotel/restaurant transactions.

You will follow strict cash handling and accounting procedures, run audits, analyze reports, and protect guest privacy while resolving concerns. The position requires independence, strong attention to detail, and willingness to work

• Passion for customer service.

• Strong attention to detail and organization.
• Hospitality experience is preferred, but not required.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Assist guests at the front desk and night audit duties.
• Provide excellent guest service consistently.
• Balance hotel and restaurant transactions daily (credit cards, cash, change funds).
• Follow credit, cash-handling, and accounting procedures.
• Run audits/reports and record revenues and statistics accurately.
• Read and explain reports, folios, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain privacy of guest and hotel information.
• Respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do

• A Front Desk/Night Auditor will assist guests efficiently, courteously, and professionally in all front desk related functions


• Provide excellent guest service


• Balance all hotel and restaurant transactions daily, including credit cards, cash, and change funds


• Consistently follow all credit, cash-handling, and accounting procedures


• Run various audits and reports and record all revenues and statistics accurately


• Read, analyze, interpret, and effectively explain items such as common reports, guest folios and emergency procedures


• Maintain privacy and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information


• Effectively respond to and resolve guest concerns or complaints


• Perform other duties as assigned

What You Will Bring

• A Night Auditor will have a passion for customer service


• Ability to work independently while supporting hotel operations


• Strong attention to detail and organization skills


• Previous hospitality experience is preferred, but not required


• A willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary


• The ability to lift, carry, or otherwise move up to 10 lbs. regularly and the ability to stand for long periods of time
