Job description

The Hilton Garden Inn of Morgantown, WV, is conveniently located in the Suncrest Towne Centre, just steps from shopping and dining. It is also minutes away from Ruby Memorial Hospital, West Virginia University, Mountaineer Field, and the WVU Coliseum. Come join our fantastic team!

We are seeking a friendly Front Desk Agent to join our team!

Compensation: $13.00 per hour

Position Overview:
Responsible for checking guests in and out, responding to inquiries and resolving issues professionally to ensure maximum customer satisfaction while adhering to SOPs.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Handle guest registration and room assignments, accommodating special requests when possible.
  2. Pre-register, block reservations, and take same-day or future reservations following resort rate structures, discounts, and strategies.
  3. Manage guest check-ins and check-outs in line with hotel policies, maintaining friendliness and efficiency.
  4. Resolve customer complaints and assist with inquiries related to resort services, events, directions, attractions, check cashing, safes, etc.
  5. Cancel reservations as per procedures.
  6. Walk guests professionally and courteously according to procedures.
  7. Perform cleaning and organizing tasks during downtime.
  8. Adhere to Hilton brand standards, training, and requirements.
  9. Cross-train in Housekeeping to understand room cleaning and preparation.
  10. Assist with laundry duties, such as folding linens, when needed.

Non-essential Job Functions:

  1. Inventory guest room keys and request re-keying as needed.
  2. Support housekeeping, lobby, laundry, and public areas during busy times or absences.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma.
  • 1-2 years of hotel front desk experience preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Organized with attention to detail.
  • Ability to follow instructions, respond to management, take responsibility, and complete tasks on time.
  • Capable of managing difficult customer situations and responding promptly to needs.
