Job description

The Hilton Garden Inn of Morgantown, WV is conveniently located in the Suncrest Towne Centre, just steps from shopping and dining. It is also minutes away from Ruby Memorial Hospital, West Virginia University, Mountaineer Field, and the WVU Coliseum. Come join our fantastic team!

We are seeking a friendly morning shift Server to take and deliver orders. You will be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our members’ and guests' experiences. Responsibilities include ensuring tables are clean and tidy upon guest arrival, presenting menus, taking food and beverage orders, and serving. The ideal candidate should be quick on their feet and possess a polite, friendly attitude. If you enjoy engaging with people and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to meet you!

Pay: $10.00 per hour, with total hourly compensation averaging + Gratuities, depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests/members upon arrival and assist with seating as needed.
2. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation at all times; perform closing clean-up duties.
3. Handle purchasing transactions, operate the cash register, and keep track of daily sales.
4. Resolve guest/member issues or complaints, using judgment or referring to management as necessary.
5. Write accurate tickets for food and beverages; relay orders to the kitchen/bar promptly; coordinate with kitchen staff on special requests.
6. Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

1. Exceptional customer service skills.
2. High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
3. Ability to stand for long periods.
4. Availability to work from 5:30 am to 1:00 pm.
