Job summary

Sage Hospitality Group operates Hotel Zags in downtown Portland, seeking a Front Desk Agent to provide professional, courteous service to arriving, departing, and in-house guests. You will handle reservations, inquiries, and guest concerns with accuracy and efficiency in a fast-paced lobby environment.

The role emphasizes timely information delivery, friendly demeanor, and strong cash handling practices, along with multitasking across check-in, check-out and guest requests throughout shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in direct public interaction preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and check-in/check-out using manual and computer systems to ensure accuracy and speed.
• Handle reservations and inquiries, communicating hotel rates and services.
• Process payments and cash handling with accuracy and compliance.
• Answer inquiries and upsell room nights to boost occupancy and revenue.
• Maintain customer relations with timely, knowledgeable responses in-person and by phone.
• Operate PBX, schedule wake-up calls, and assist with guest requests promptly.
