Job Title: Front Desk Agent

Job Overview: The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional service to guests during their stay. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, ensuring smooth check-ins and check-outs, and addressing guest inquiries and issues in a friendly, efficient manner.

Essential Functions:
  • Greet and welcome guests, register them into the hotel system, and verify reservation details.
  • Promote and enroll guests in the hotel’s loyalty program.
  • Process payments, manage the house bank, and report daily receipts accurately.
  • Assist with service requests like issuing keys, handling safety deposit boxes, and posting charges.
  • Respond promptly to guest complaints, providing solutions and escalating when necessary.
  • Answer calls courteously, provide accurate information, and handle reservations efficiently.
  • Assist with transportation services and luggage handling.
  • Provide information about local area, hotel services, and amenities.
  • Manage guest requests such as laundry, messages, wake-up calls, mail, and faxes.
  • Prepare for VIP guests and follow all operational procedures.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, communicate effectively, and contribute to a team environment.
  • Handle keys properly, adhere to security policies, and protect guest confidentiality.
  • Promote hotel amenities and upgrades to enhance guest experience.
  • Maintain a neat appearance according to company standards.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous customer service experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, basic computer skills.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
