As a Front Desk Agent, your responsibilities include:

  1. Responding courteously to arriving, departing, and in-house guests, providing accurate and timely information and services.
  2. Handling guest check-in and check-out procedures using manual and computerized methods.
  3. Calculating and posting guest charges accurately, maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
  4. Answering inquiries and accepting reservations via phone and in person, promoting hotel services.
  5. Maintaining good customer relations by staying informed about hotel and area functions.
  6. Operating PBX equipment for calls, wake-up services, and guest paging.
  7. Controlling cash transactions and maintaining responsibility for personal bank.
  8. Maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor at all times.

Education/Formal Training: High School diploma or equivalent.

Experience: None required.

Knowledge/Skills:

  • High school level mathematical aptitude, cash handling knowledge, and familiarity with computerized cash registers.
  • Experience in customer service and dealing directly with the public.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written).
  • Ability to handle stressful situations tactfully.
  • Highly organized with attention to detail and multitasking skills.

Physical Demands: Ability to read written communications, operate computers and phones, stand for long periods, reach all hotel areas, and lift up to 25 lbs.

Environment: Mostly indoor work in a climate-controlled setting, with prolonged standing and some mobility required.
