Duties and Expectations

  • Guest Relations: Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile.
  • Name Use: Use guests’ names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed.
  • Guest Satisfaction: Collaborate to achieve high guest satisfaction scores.
  • Recovery: Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency.
  • Hotel Knowledge: Know all features of the hotel and amenities.
  • Events: Support all groups and events at the hotel.
  • Technology: Understand relevant technology for the role.
  • Phone Etiquette: Answer calls courteously with the approved greeting.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain spotless workspaces and assist in cleaning as needed, greeting guests cheerfully during cleaning.

Product Quality & Teamwork

  • Complete checklists accurately and on time.
  • Provide accurate shift handover reports.
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform, be well-groomed, wear a nametag, and smile always.

Role Specific Duties

  • Ensure efficient check-in/out processes and follow up with guests post check-in.
  • Stay updated on room rates and promotions.
  • Manage incoming mail as per shift checklist.

Success Metrics

  • Guest satisfaction and positive reviews.
  • Management performance ratings.
  • Cleanliness audits and guest ratings.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience in hospitality or related fields preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow guidelines and work under pressure.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Desire to serve guests.
  • Must be 18+ years old.
  • Willing to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Arrive and clock in/out on time; provide notice for absences.

Physical & Environmental Demands

  • Stand for long periods, operate office equipment, lift up to 25 pounds, and move throughout the hotel.
  • Work environment is moderate noise.

Language & Reasoning Skills

  • Effective communication in English.
