Job Title: Front Office Agent

Location: La Quinta Tampa - Brandon Regency Park, 310 Grand Regency Boulevard, Brandon, FL 33510

Overview: The Front Office Agent provides attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests during check-in, throughout their stay, and at checkout, while maximizing room revenue and occupancy. Flexibility to work day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays is required.

Responsibilities:
  1. Answer guest inquiries regarding restaurants, transportation, entertainment, etc.
  2. Follow all cash handling and credit policies.
  3. Be aware of all rates, packages, and promotions listed in the Red Book.
  4. Familiarize with all in-house groups and restricted dates.
  5. Obtain necessary information for room reservations and follow rate-quoting procedures.
  6. Understand hospitality terminology.
  7. Know emergency procedures and assist as needed.
  8. Handle check-ins and checkouts courteously and efficiently.
  9. Communicate using proper two-way radio etiquette.
  10. Operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.
  11. Complete all shift duties and reports timely, including bucket check, room rate verification, and housekeeping reports.
  12. Balance and prepare paperwork for shift closing according to hotel standards.
  13. Promote and market hotel promotions and guest programs.
  14. Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  15. Assist guests with safe deposit boxes.
Qualifications:
  • College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Computer proficiency required.
  • Customer service experience preferred.
  • Maintain a warm, friendly demeanor at all times.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with all staff and guests.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Adhere to hotel standards and regulations for safe and efficient operations.
  • Show initiative and anticipate guest and operational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of information.
  • Cross-train in other hotel areas as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
