Job summary

Dogtopia of Longwood is seeking a reliable Front Desk Associate to greet guests, handle calls, and support a small team dedicated to animals and people. The role offers flexible morning and afternoon shifts Monday through Sunday, with weekends and holidays required.

You will manage data entry, POS operations, and upsell services to enhance the pet-parent experience. We value friendly, detail-oriented team players who can multitask in a fast-paced environment and maintain a premium guest

Qualifications

• Comfortable with standing up to 100% of shift.
• Availability for weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• The Ultimate Greeter: Greet everyone that walks in or out with a smile, as an ambassador for our brand.
• Communication Hub: Answer calls, respond to emails/voicemails, and assist the lobby promptly.
• Administrative Duties: Data entry, Pet Parent charts, record-keeping, POS and cashier operations.
• Sales & Growth: Know pricing, services, and retail items; confidently upsell where appropriate.
• Facility & Team Management: Maintain door control, and keep entrance, lobby and restrooms clean.
• Exceptional Experience: Maintain 3 S’s—Smile, Story, Satisfaction—and seek high guest ratings.

Dogtopia of Longwood is looking for a reliable and compassionate Front Desk Associate to join our team. We are a small business, but we are always looking to hire great people. The ideal candidate will be a hard-working professional able to undertake a variety of tasks with attention to detail and great care for animals and people. We have flexible morning and afternoon shifts available Monday-Sunday.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities & Customer Service

• The Ultimate Greeter: Greet EVERYONE that walks in or out of Dogtopia with a smile, acting as an outgoing and enthusiastic ambassador for our brand.
• Communication Hub: Master the art of multitasking by answering incoming phone calls, responding to emails and voicemails, and assisting the lobby simultaneously in a timely, problem-solving manner.
• Administrative Duties: Handle data entry, create Pet Parent charts, maintain proper record-keeping, and complete point-of-sale (POS) and cashier operations.
• Sales & Growth: Become knowledgeable on all pricing, services, and retail items. Confidently offer upgrades and sell additional services based on guest wants and needs.
• Facility & Team Management: Maintain proper door control in all rooms, and ensure the pristine cleanliness of the entranceway, lobby, and restrooms.
• Exceptional Experience: Speak consistently to our 3 S’s (Smile, Story, Satisfaction), communicate effectively with leadership and peers, and strive for high customer review ratings by always smiling for the cameras and ensuring a premium experience.

• Must love dogs! (Ability to learn dog recognition is essential).
• Strong customer service skills with a high degree of emotional intelligence and customer tolerance.
• Detail-oriented, quick-thinking, and a strong multitasker who thrives in a fun, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively with a team in a respectful and professional manner.
• Comfortable with upselling to enhance the pet parent experience.
• Ability to spend up to 100% of work time standing.
• Ability to work flexible days and hours, including holidays and weekends.
