Job summary

Food Lion seeks a Front End Associate to deliver fast, friendly service at the checkout and throughout the front end. You will greet customers, assist with bagging and cashier tasks, and maintain a neat, efficient lane and front end area.

Responsibilities include handling cash and various payment forms, assisting customers to their cars, and ensuring store guidelines are followed. Strong communication and reliability are essential.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to perform the technical requirements of cashier and service center.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide fast, friendly service to customers and greet them by name when possible.
• Assist Customer Service Manager and Assistant Customer Service Manager with front end standards and duties.
• Unload groceries from cart to belt and group items for efficient bagging.
• Handle cash, checks, coupons, gift cards, and WIC vouchers per procedures.
• Maintain clean, neat front end area and report any issues or malfunctions.
