Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Food Service Worker I to manage the set-up, service and cleanup of all aspects of food service in the Nutrition Services department. Responsibilities include tray line work, sanitation, inventory replenishment and adherence to regulatory standards.

The role involves preparing hot and cold items, following standardized recipes, and using equipment such as cutters, choppers, knives, ovens and steamers while maintaining safe food handling practices.

Qualifications

• No degree or diploma required.
• Must read, write and understand verbal and written instructions.
• Basic math calculations
• Ability to learn safe and sanitary food handling techniques.

Responsibilities

• Cleans and sanitizes trays, dishes, equipment, walls, floors and area components according to schedule.
• Receives, verifies against order and stores food and supplies; rotates stock and notifies Purchasing Manager about shortages.
• Sets up workstation and serves customers; prepares and portions hot and cold items following recipes.
• Takes and records temperatures and adheres to food safety standards on a schedule.
• Communicates with cooks, supervisors and staff; performs other duties as assigned.
