Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers, maintain visible presence.
• Process transactions quickly, accurately at the checkout.
• Understand POS and handle cash, checks, cards, and loyalty offers as per policy.
• Follow cash handling limits and loss prevention guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with age-restricted item rules (alcohol, tobacco, DVDs).
• Report pricing discrepancies to the Scan Coordinator.
• Adhere to policies for stamps, gift cards and coupons.
• Stay informed about ads and promotions; comply with safety rules.
• Communicate safety procedures and report hazards to management.
• Assist and support customers including minors and seniors as needed.
