Job summary

Rural King is looking for a friendly Cashier to provide accurate and efficient service at the front end, processing transactions and assisting customers. The role supports a positive shopping experience and promotes Rural King programs.

The ideal candidate engages customers, handles cash accurately, uses POS systems, and collaborates with team members to maintain a clean, organized checkout area and high-quality service.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience is preferred.
• Able to handle cash accurately and process transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow cash-handling procedures, returns, exchanges, lays away and price disputes.
• Answer customer questions and provide basic product information.
• Educate customers about the Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan.
• Respond to store calls using professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Maintain checkout areas clean and stocked and assist with training new Cashiers as needed.
