Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Cashier to deliver friendly, accurate service and create a positive customer experience. The role processes transactions, assists customers, and promotes company programs while following cash-handling procedures.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, handling cash and card transactions, and maintaining a clean, organized front end. You may train new cashiers and help other store departments as needed. Benefits are offered to eligible associates.

Qualifications

• Customer service or retail experience preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable using computers and POS systems.
• Ability to accurately handle cash and process transactions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
• Reliable, proactive, and willing to learn.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately.
• Follow procedures for cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Educate customers about Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Respond to store calls using professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers, complete required paperwork, and maintain accurate records.
• Deactivate EAS devices and spider wraps as needed.
• Maintain checkout areas, carts, restrooms, and service areas.
• Participate in cross-training and support other store departments as needed.
• Use POS systems, computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
