Job summary

Rural King is seeking a friendly cashier to provide outstanding customer service, handle transactions accurately, and promote company programs. This role supports a clean, efficient front end and helps customers with questions about products and loyalty options.

The cashier will process payments, follow cash-handling procedures, and collaborate with loaders and other staff to ensure a positive shopping experience.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to greet customers and handle transactions.
• Experience in retail or customer service preferred.
• Comfortable with computers and cash register systems.
• Ability to follow cash-handling procedures and maintain accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
• Process cash, credit, debit, and other transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Follow company procedures for cash handling, returns, exchanges, layaways, and price disputes.
• Educate customers about Rural King Loyalty Program, RK Visa, and RK Plus Protection Plan (RKPPP).
• Respond to store calls using professional phone etiquette.
• Coordinate with loaders and associates to promptly address customer needs.
• Reconcile registers and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain checkout areas and keep them stocked and clean.
• Support other store departments as needed.
