Job summary

Synergy Flavors in Chicago, IL, is seeking a production operator to manufacture FRH products in our on-site facility. You will combine raw materials in a reactor, transfer to trays, dry, grind and package powder, following exact formulations and recording batch details.

You’ll also take samples for lab testing and maintain strict adherence to food safety guidelines. The role is third shift, onsite, with a starting pay of $22 per hour plus a 10% shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• GMP and allergen knowledge is required.
• Acute attention to detail.
• Ability to read scales and perform basic math.
• Basic computer skills with RF scanner experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Respirator use after medical approval and fit testing.
• Effective communication to report safety/quality issues.
• External candidates with batching/compounding experience welcomed.
• Internal candidates must show strong work performance and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work overtime when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Inspects line equipment and driving equipment to ensure proper working conditions.
• Follow reaction and oven drying instructions to meet specifications.
• Transfer materials and set up equipment efficiently.
• Monitor temperatures and control reactions with care.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking and staying flexible.
• Sample and test batches for various attributes after completion.
• Follow CIP and cleaning sanitary guidelines.
• Complete batch sheets and related paperwork.
• Perform duties safely per company policies.
• Complete duties accurately without errors or defects.
