Job summary

Synergy Flavors, Inc. in Chicago, IL, is seeking an FRH Operator to join our production team.

You will operate reactors, transfer materials, dry in ovens, grind, and package powder following batch instructions while maintaining food safety and quality records. You will sample batches, coordinate with the lab for testing, and ensure line equipment runs safely and efficiently on a 3rd shift (Mon-Fri, 10p-6:30a), with a starting wage of $19.00/hr plus 10% shift differential and a $1,000 sign-on

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED Preferred
• GMPs, Allergens knowledge
• Acute attention to detail
• Read scales accurately and understand units
• Basic math skills (percentages, etc.)
• RF scanner experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. repeatedly
• Respirator contingent on medical approval
• Report safety/quality issues clearly
• External candidates with batching/compounding experience preferred
• Internal candidates must demonstrate strong performance
• Overtime willingness

Responsibilities

• Inspects line equipment and driving equipment to ensure proper working conditions
• Follow reaction and oven drying instructions to ensure we produce product that meets specification.
• Transfer materials, set up equipment, utilize piping and parts efficiently
• Monitor equipment, control temperatures and consistency of the reactions
• Work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task under pressure
• Sample and test attributes from mixes after completion
• Follow sanitary guidelines for CIP and cleaning
• Complete batch paperwork and batch sheets
• Perform duties safely in line with company policies
• Complete duties without errors or defects
