Job summary

Oakwood School in Morgan Hill is seeking a Boys Freshman Basketball Head Coach under the direction of the Athletic Director. The role focuses on player development, team strategy, and preparing players for junior varsity and varsity levels.

The position requires evening and weekend work and some travel with student-athletes. Candidates should show passion for coaching, strong communication, and organizational skills, and must have a valid driver's license and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Assess players consistently to determine playing time and readiness for advancement to junior varsity and varsity
• Design and execute organized practices addressing individual and team needs
• Develop and implement game plans and in-game adjustments
• Coordinate with JV and varsity coaches to align systems and terminology
• Transport players using a school vehicle to road contests
• Maintain clear communication with players, parents, coaching staff, and administration
