ShopRite of Greater Morristown in Cedar Knolls, NJ, is seeking a Seafood Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service and operate the Seafood Department. You will prepare and pack fresh and frozen seafood following company standards, while maintaining quality and safety in daily operations.

The role requires ability to read and communicate in English, lift up to 50 lbs, and work a schedule that may exceed 8 hours. Training emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and teamwork to support store goals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Ability to handle seafood and related products safely.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and perform basic math.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Receive, code-date, prepare and restock seafood products.
• Differentiate seafood types and communicate price differences.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.
• Monitor refrigeration and report failures.
• Calculate product margins and retail prices when needed.
• Follow QA and safety standards and use gloves when handling food.
• Dress according to company policy and adhere to service priorities.
