Job summary

Pure Hothouse Foods LLC in Byron, GA is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to assess and report on the quality of vegetables received, in inventory, and shipped from the facility. You will visually inspect loads on arrival and outbound, complete inspection reports, and classify inventory by quality.

The role requires attention to detail, GMP knowledge, and the ability to work in a refrigerated environment with lifting up to 50 pounds, in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Secondary school education or equivalent required; post secondary education preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a Vegetable Inspector or Quality Inspector in produce or related industry preferred.
• Knowledge of GMP, health and safety, and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect all loads of vegetables arriving at the facility and perform outbound inspections.
• Complete QC Inspection Reports for each arriving load, including distressed loads.
• Ensure inventory is assessed and categorized by quality and condition.
