Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market in Texas is seeking a Produce Manager to lead the Produce Department’s sales and operations, ensuring quality, merchandising, inventory control, and effective team coaching. You will collaborate with the Store Manager on staffing, promotions, and performance reviews, while maintaining safety and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have 1-3 years of experience working in a grocery retail setting with management experience in produce
• A basic knowledge of math, weights and measures
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to take direction and participate in a team environment
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations
• Able to stand, walk, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs., for long periods
• Able to operate a pallet jack and move pallets up to 20 ft
• Be able to walk up to 5 miles in an 8 hour shift
• Maintain a Food Handlers permit
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, weekly sales numbers, and financial goals
• Outgoings and friendly demeanor toward team members and customers

Responsibilities

• Oversee sales and operations of the Produce Department
• Ensure quality control, merchandising, cleanliness and organization of the department
• Manage inventory and scheduling
• Coach and develop team members through feedback and performance reviews
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings
• Recruit, hire and promote in collaboration with Store Manager
• Address team member concerns and take corrective actions when needed
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality product and service
• Serve as Key Carrier or MOD as needed
